What is an Engine Tune-Up?

A properly tuned engine will last longer and give better performance. When tuning your engine, our technician will check the condition of your spark plugs and the spark-plug wiring. Fouled or worn spark plugs will prevent the gasoline-air mixture from igniting properly. Worn wires can prevent the spark plugs from doing their job. Your engine air and fuel filters will be inspected. A dirty air filter restricts the air flow to your engine – that will reduce gas mileage and cause sluggish performance. A clogged fuel filter can cause hard starting and may lead to a fuel-pump failure.

Regular tune-ups ensure that your engine runs reliably and gets the best gas mileage. During the tune-up, we will perform a courtesy 37-point inspection to ensure that all your vehicle systems are in good working order.
